Marshall Islands Tips at a Glance

1) The Marshall Islands has an open agreement with the United States (Compact of Free Association) so U.S. citizens do not need a visa to visit the islands, but a U.S. passport is required

2) There are limited accommodations in the Marshalls and these can fill quickly and early if there are scheduled conferences so book your lodging in advance

3) Malaria prophylaxis is not needed (as of 2016) but dengue, zika, and chikungunya are prevalent so mosquito prophylaxis is a must.
